CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ABOUT GASOLINE VEHICLE PERFORMANCE

GOIL has taken note of customer complaints about vehicle malfunction particularly the jerking of vehicles attributed to the quality of fuel and wishes to state that:

  1. GOIL does not sell contaminated or ‘bad’ fuel as being alleged. All fuels sold are tested by independent laboratories to ensure they meet the required national standards set by the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) and the regulator, National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
  2. GOIL fuels undergo rigorous loading procedures in accordance with the national standard quality benchmarks.
  3. At all times, fuels delivered to GOIL stations undergo strict discharging and quality assurance procedures.
  4. Again, GOIL has mobile laboratory vans which are used to check the quality of fuels at retail outlets.
  5. It is noteworthy that, the NPA has undertaken investigations into fuels sold by GOIL and found that the company has not breached any of the standards set by the regulator.
  6. The NPA has meanwhile stated that, it is collaborating with the GSA to review the national standards and we wish to assure the public that GOIL will continue to comply with the standards set by the regulator.
  7. While we sympathize with customers, we wish to assure the public and consumers in particular that GOIL fuels remain the best on the market.
