The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Gordon Kudzo Tamakloe, has commended GOIL PLC for implementing robust safety measures at its LPG bottling plant in Tema.
He said this during a working visit to the facility. Mr. Tamakloe was accompanied by his two deputies, Dr. Sheila Addo, and Dr. Dramani Bukari, some management team members who familiarized themselves with the plant's operations, which align with the National Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM).
The team also included officials from the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company.
He lauded the facility’s state-of-the-art firefighting system, which includes a one-million-liter capacity water tank capable of sustaining fire suppression efforts for two hours before requiring external assistance from the Ghana National Fire Service.
Mr. Tamakloe assured GOIL PLC of the NPA’s unwavering support to ensure the company's smooth and efficient operations.
The Team was conducted round the facility by the terminal Manager, Ing. Kwadwo Takyi.
A team of GOIL officials who welcomed the NPA officials included The Head of Operations, Ing Denis Amui, Head of Corporate Affairs, Dr. Marcus Dake. Others were the Head of TSP, Ing. Joshua Kwabena Duodu, Head of HSSE, Ing. Marian Fordjour and the Head of IT, Roger Baah. The rest were, the MD of GO Bitumen, Joseph Adongo, and the Marketing Manager, Ernest Asare, Client Relationship Manager, Benjamin Anokye, all of GO Energy, and the Public Relations Manager of GOIL.
