The Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marked in countries across the world every October, helps to increase the attention and support the awareness, early detection and treatment as well as palliative care of this disease.

Screening was held at the premises of GOIL Head Office. GOIL staff took this opportunity to participate in this awareness. The women especially, participated in this exercise to get diagnosed and get their breast examined as well as few men who were also interested in this initiative. The women made the day very colorful when they wore pink branded t-shirts for this exercise.

Currently, there is not sufficient knowledge of the cause of Breast Cancer, therefore early detection of the disease remains the cornerstone of Breast Cancer Control. When breast cancer is detected early and if adequate treatment and diagnosis and treatment are available, there is a good chance that Breast Cancer can be cured.
