GOIL PLC has officially inaugurated state-of-the-art auto gas stations at five specific locations nationwide, in line with Ghana’s just energy transition pathway to net-zero status.
These sites include the Cape Coast by-pass in the central region, GOIL Burma camp service station and Kpeshie in the Greater Accra Region, and the Kentinkrono Auto Gas station in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The Group CEO and MD of GOIL PLC, Mr. Kwame Osei-Prempeh- Prempeh said GOIL is ready to meet all supply chain requirements set by the NPA. The commitment is demonstrated through the construction of two Cylinder Bottling Plants- one in Kumasi and another in Tema, as well as establishing in the five modern Autogas stations.
He further explained the sites were selected because they met the necessary criteria: including approval from the Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority; compliance with National Petroleum Authority (NPA) regulations; profitability; and ensuring customers in different areas have access to modern and safe gas facilities.
Present at the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Energy Andrew Egyapa Mercer, high-level Military Officers, Industry players, Former MD Of GOIL, Mr. Patrick Akorli, Brand Ambassador of GOIL, Prof Azumah Nelson, the OMC Boss, NPA officials and GOIL dealers.
GOIL PLC HONORED AT NATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS AWARDS 2023
GOIL PLC has been awarded the corporate entity with the ‘Best Use of Social Media’ for the Oil and Gas category. The ‘Exemplary Communication Professional of the Year’ was awarded to the Head of Corporate Affairs, Dr. Marcus Deo Dake, while the entire corporate team was honored with the 2023 ‘Communications Team of the Year’- Oil and Gas Category at the 2023 5th National Communications Awards held in Accra.
The National Communications Awards is held annually to reward excellent communication and digitalization companies, organizations, teams, and professionals across the country. This is to champion communications, digitalization, organizational and national development. The awards also served as a platform to showcase and inspire further innovation and progress in the digitized field. It explores strategies and initiatives for enhancing digital literacy and promoting entrepreneurship.
The 2023 edition of the National Communication Awards was hosted on the theme “Ghana’s Digital Economy: Emerging with Resilience”.
GOIL PLC (GOIL) has continuously supported the National Blood Bank, an agency of the Ministry of Health, as part of its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects.
The Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) department of GOIL collaborates with the National Blood Bank on the project every year with the aim of helping improve access to safe and adequate blood as well as improving its blood stock.
For the year 2023, GOIL supported sixteen schools across seven regions comprising of Greater Accra, Central, Eastern, Western, North, Volta, and Ashanti Region.
As part of the company’s support, GOIL presented to the National Blood Bank food items including cartons of beverages, cartons of milk, boxes of biscuits, and boxes of drinking water.
GOIL PLC (GOIL) has hosted its annual staff durbar and long service awards for 2023 at the GOIL Executive Centre in Cantonments, Accra.
This yearly event is held to convene the entire team of board members, management, and staff of GOIL to discuss vital matters of the company and to plan strategically for subsequent business years.
Board Chairman, Mr. Reginald Laryea in his address at the ceremony, applauded management for their hard work and excellence in sailing through a difficult year.
He also commended all staff for their diligence and dedication to work and encouraged them to keep up their good efforts.
Group CEO and Managing Director of GOIL, Mr. Kwame Osei Prempeh recounted activities in the year and highlighted major milestones especially the establishment of GOIL subsidiaries and projects that have successfully been in operation.
The event was climaxed with the presentation of awards to the long-serving staff of the company across all zones.
A total of twenty-three staff were honored for their hard work and dedicated service to the company. 14 staff were awarded for serving the company for 10 years, 3 staff for 15 years, 2 staff for 20 years, 3 staff for 30 years, and a staff member for 35 years of service.
