GOIL AWARDS DEALERS, SUPERVISORS, STATION ATTENDANTS

 

Ghana Oil Company, GOIL, has rewarded 68 of its frontline staff for their hard-work and meritorious services at the company’s 2016 Dealers & Trade Area Awards ceremony held in Accra.

The award winners in 14 categories included 34 Dealers, 6 Supervisors and 21 station attendants all of whom received various prizes such as a laptop, cash-prizes, photographic plaque. 21 of the winners being sponsored on a one week tour with spending money to South Africa.  

George Boadu (Asonaba) – Odoum, Kumasi, was adjudged the overall National Best Dealer. '

Aretha Bakers-Woode (Burma Camp service station) won the 2nd National Best Dealer and Best in LPG deliver whilst Emmanuel Akrofi (PWD), Wa, won the 3rd National Best Dealer. For their prizes, they receive a South Africa tour with spending cash, a Plaque, a Certificate, Laptop and a citation.

GOIL HOLDS CONSUMER CAPACITY WORKSHOP

A two day  capacity-building workshop for GOIL Consumer Clients has been held in Accra.
 
In attendance were  participants from Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, GPHA, Metro Mass Transport Limited, COCOBOD, Bank of Ghana, AESL, SIC. SSNIT, Ghana Army, Bank of Ghana and  the Police Service
 
The over 60 participants were taken through refresher courses such as fuel and Gas loading procedures, quality issues and the  employment of electronic payment systems through the use of the GO card.

GOIL OUTDOORS NEW FRIDAY WEAR

GOIL has out-doored a new Friday cloth to showcase its rising corporate image. The locally-made
sparkling new cloth in four different colours, all have the corporate brand logo blended seamlessly to
project the indigenous identity of the leading oil marketing entity.
A public outdoor of the cloth had staff especially the women displaying unique, cut to fit styles and
modern designs.

GOIL ‘’PAMPERING” DAY MISS GHANA FINALISTS

Participants at this year’s MISS Ghana Competition have visited two service stations in the run-up to the
finals of finals slated for the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra.
The 20 contestants are competing in the historic 60 th anniversary edition with support from GOIL and
other sponsors.
The contestants first visited the Liberation road service station where they were briefed about
operations at the station including efforts to ensure quality of fuel and service. They also took the
opportunity to serve fuel to customers who were thrilled to be welcomed by the beauty finalists.
The finalists also visited the Legon Presec Station where they also familiarized themselves with
operations at the station.

GOIL DONATES ROAD BARRIER SIGNAGES TO SEKONDI -TAKORADI ASSEMBLY

Ghana Oil Company, GOIL has donated seventy (70) specialized road barrier equipment to the Sekondi- Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly to help control traffic and assist in general road safety management at the Airport Round About and the central business district of the Port City.
The Donation was in response to appeals for support to help control traffic, unauthorized Parking and general vehicular congestion in the twin city.
GOIL’s Zonal Manager, West, Mr. Enoch Bimpong who presented the equipment to the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Kobina Kurentsir, underscored the importance the company attaches to safety hoping it will assist the assembly to reduce congestion in the city.

The Metropolitan Chief Executive, Mr. Kobina Sam, was grateful to GOIL for the gesture.
